Financial support is available from a variety of sources including fellowships, training grants, teaching assistantships, research assistantships, scholarships, and loans. For additional details regarding the financial assistance, please contact Laurie Ward
in the HST Academic Office, E25-518.
HST students should be actively engaged in managing their financial support. Some students enter with funding secured, while others seek funding through various opportunities throughout their graduate careers. Knowing types, sources, and mechanisms of financial support will ease the graduate experience and allow students to maintain their focus on research and academics.
The IDEA² program provides a structured process that guides, mentors, and supports the definition and development of research problems by HST students. Depending on the available resources, 1-3 semesters of partial student support may be provided. Click here for more details
